Accounting Firm Expanding into Tannery

A little more than a year after opening an office in Waterloo Region, the national accounting and advisory firm, Grant Thornton LLP, , has announced plans to move into a bigger space in downtown Kitchener.

The firm opened a temporary office at 55 King St. W. in November 2015 with a staff of six. Today, it employs 12 people. It plans to move into a larger office at 121 Charles St. W., inside the Tannery building, by April 2016.

"We doubled in people and probably more than doubled in clients," said Jim Whetstone, senior manager with Grant Thornton.
